Global Movers is fourteen people: four in the office, two crew chiefs, and eight movers on the trucks, every one of them on our payroll. Andre Castellanos owns the company, hired all of them, and still works a job himself when the building is difficult enough to warrant it.
Who picks up when you call
Selena Aguirre handles intake and scheduling, and she asks the awkward questions early on purpose. Which floor, which elevator, whether the building enforces a move-in window, whether the block gets swept on your date. A third-floor walk-up in Venice and a gated Glendale complex are not the same booking, and she would rather know on the first call.
Diego Franco coordinates the move once it is on the calendar: elevator reservations, insurance certificates to building management, dock times, and what hour the truck leaves the yard so the 101 does not eat the morning.
Estimating is Isabela Duarte‘s job. Most quotes come off a video call or the photos a customer sends, though she will drive out when a house is big enough, or the access strange enough, to justify it.
Marcos Villalobos is crew chief on local work, and new hires ride with him for weeks before anyone is trusted alone in a customer’s living room. Emilio Chacon runs the long-distance side and drives the San Francisco, Las Vegas, Seattle and Denver lanes himself.
Local knowledge you cannot download
Give Marcos a Highland Park address and he will tell you before the truck leaves whether it takes the 26-footer or a shuttle. Emilio times his departure out of downtown around the 5, not around the clock. Nobody arrives knowing that, it takes years on the same streets.
