Andre Castellanos was running crews for a large LA van line before he put his own trucks on the road in 2015, and before that he was a San Gabriel Valley kid carrying furniture on weekends. He still shows up on the downtown and hillside jobs. One habit survived all of it: the crew walks the whole path, door to truck, and repeats it back to you before a single piece is lifted.

What gets settled between your quote and move morning

  • Isabela Duarte prices the job off a video call or a set of photos, so nobody burns a half day of work waiting on an estimator
  • Call-box codes, association move-in hours and any lift reservation are on the file at booking, which is why the crew is never stranded at a locked gate at eight in the morning
  • Pads and film go on upstairs in the bedroom, not downstairs at the tailgate after a piece has already taken the trip
  • Whatever has to come apart, headboards, sectional frames, wall units, is put back together by the same two people who took it down
  • Parking is arranged in advance: LADOT temporary no-parking signs for a downtown curb, permit-block rules in Santa Monica, a bagged meter in Long Beach

Move day, Eastside to the coast

  1. The approach gets checked before dispatch commits Plenty of hillside addresses above Silver Lake and Beachwood cannot take a 26-footer through the switchbacks, so those jobs are assigned a shuttle van at quote time instead of at sunrise on the day.
  2. Rooms close out in sequence Marcos Villalobos will not leave four rooms open at once. A room is emptied, swept and shut, and only then does the crew move down the hall.
  3. Start times answer to traffic, not to a template An inland job in August rolls at first light because of the heat; a Valley-to-beach run leaves early because the 405 decides when it is finished with you.
  4. The unload follows your labels Cartons go to the room written on them, furniture goes where you point, and everything taken apart that morning is standing again before the crew signs off.

Steps, switchbacks and one-elevator towers get counted, never guessed at

Forty feet of front steps at a Pasadena bungalow, a Glendale tower where three move-outs share one lift all Saturday, a canyon road with nowhere legal to leave a trailer: Isabela counts all of it on the walkthrough and it lands in the figure right then, not in a revision afterward. Cartons and materials price on their own, and the packing page lays out how.

How the flat rate is built

One rate covers the job anywhere in the basin, so an extra forty minutes of traffic is our problem rather than a line on your invoice. What sets that rate is what Isabela counted: crew size, truck count, stairs, and how far the carry runs from your door to the nearest place we can legally park.

Diego Franco turns the walkthrough into one fixed figure you sign before the date.
Home size What we usually assign
Studio Two movers, one truck, most of a morning
1 bedroom Two movers, one truck, roughly a half day
2 bedrooms Three movers, one truck, most of a day
3 bedrooms Three or four movers, one truck, a full day
4+ bedrooms Four movers, two trucks, a full day on an early start

If the destination is a managed building that runs on a dock reservation and wants an insurance certificate on file, read the apartment page first, because those jobs run on the building’s clock rather than ours. For anything else, Selena Aguirre needs two addresses and a target week to get a written figure moving.

Questions people ask before booking this

Our building caps the Saturday elevator hold at two hours. Can a crew work inside that?

Routinely. Tell Selena Aguirre what the hold is at booking and Diego Franco sizes the crew around it, so the truck is spotted and the first carts are loaded the moment those doors open.

Does the same crew stay on the job if it runs longer than expected?

It does. The movers who begin your job are the ones who finish it, on our equipment and our payroll. We do not phone a labor service at four in the afternoon to close out a long day.

How soon can we have a firm figure for a move across the county?

Usually the same day. Send both addresses with a video walkthrough in the morning and Isabela Duarte normally has your written figure out by that afternoon.
